Two-wheeler market: The dominance of various companies in India’s two-wheeler segment is increasing, and the March 2025 figures are clear evidence of this. According to this month’s data, companies like Hero, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki and Royal Enfield have been the best-selling two-wheeler companies in the Indian market. But an interesting thing is that electric vehicle companies have not yet found any place in this list, while traditional companies are performing brilliantly.
Hero MotoCorp
In March 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 5,06,641 vehicles, showing an increase of 41.80% over February 2025. In February, the company sold 3,57,296 vehicles. On an annual basis, Hero has increased by 10.93% as compared to March 2024, as he sold 4,56,724 vehicles in the same month last year. This growth reflects Hero’s strong market position, which establishes it as the biggest player in the Indian two-wheeler market.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India
Honda sold 4,01,411 vehicles in March 2025, while in February 2025 it sold 3,83,918 vehicles. Thus, Honda has gained 4.56% on a monthly basis. At the same time, on an annual basis, the company has gained 12.08% compared to March 2024, when it sold 3,58,151 vehicles. This growth reflects Honda’s continuous improvement direction, making it competing firmly in the Indian two-wheeler market.
TVS Motors
TVS sold 2,97,622 vehicles in March 2025, while in February the figure was 2,76,072. The company has gained 7.81% on a monthly basis, and increased by 14.24% on an annual basis, as it sold 2,60,532 vehicles in March 2024. This growth of TVS shows that the company has strengthened its position in the Indian market and has maintained confidence among customers.
Bajaj Auto
Bajaj sold 1,83,659 vehicles in March 2025, showing an increase of 25.68% as compared to February 2025. In February, the company sold 1,46,138 vehicles. However, Bajaj’s growth on an annual basis was very modest, as it sold 1,83,004 vehicles in March 2024, leading to only 0.36%. Bajaj’s growth shows a slight change that the company is facing some challenges, but still remains an important player in the Indian two-wheeler market.
Suzuki motorcycles
Suzuki sold 1,05,736 vehicles in March 2025, while in February 2025 the figure was 73,455. Thus, the company has gained 43.95% on a monthly basis, which is an important achievement. On an annual basis, Suzuki has gained 22.71% as compared to March 2024, when he sold 86,164 vehicles. This growth of Suzuki reflects the success of its impressive marketing and attractive models.
Royal enfield
Royal Enfield sold 88,050 vehicles in March 2025, showing an increase of 8.98% as compared to February. In February, the company sold 80,799 vehicles. On an annual basis, Royal Enfield has increased by 33.32%, as in March 2024 it sold 66,044 vehicles. The reason for this growth of Royal Enfield is the increasing demand and strong brand value in its premium bike segment.
In March 2025, Hero and Honda maintained a prominent place in the Indian two-wheeler segment, while other companies such as TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki and Royal Enfield also surfaced with good growth. However, not having the name of electric vehicle companies in this list is an important indication, showing that the demand for traditional petrol-dizzy vehicles still remains strong in the Indian market.
